HELP.......

Can anyone help me out? Just got my chipped ECU back from PES. I reconnected the ECU and the engine won't start. It only turns over. The only indictor/light I get prior to starting the engine is the "ABS, BRAKE, SEATBELT, AIRBAG, BATTERY", and nothing else. Many thanks to all.

The chip is great, but they did have a problem w/mine as well, and they had to re-flash it. But, mine did start, does yours even turn over.

May want to check the connections if you have not already.

I've checked and reconnected numerous time but still the same. The engine does turn over. I haven't had time to research but what is a "imobilizer"? Pardon my ignorance...

ohhh,

That is a very big thing,how new is your car?

Well, if when you turn the key to accessory, and then to on you will see a key symbol in addition to the airbag, ABS, battery info.

The immobilizer prevents the car from being stolen, and has been recentely added to newer TTs.

I do believe PES has a solution to this, I'd give Tony a call first thing in the morning.

I have a 2001TTCQ225 with 9,000 miles. I bought it April,2000 when they first came out. I did not see any key symbol along with the other symbols I mentioned earlier. I'm gonna call Tony myself to see if I need to send the ECU back. I'll let you know the detail for future reference. I'm glad you enjoyed your chipped TT. I'm just very anxious but I'm confident that this is onlya minor problem which Tony can fix. Thanks again.
