Default Help,

My partner has an 02 TT Roadster, the buttons on the lower console will not activate the trunk or gas flap, and she is out of fuel. Is that a fuse, or gremlin, owners manual does not address manual release of gas flap. Her key will activate the trunk, so it makes me think it could be a fuse, but the Owners manual does not address that either. Any ideas? TIA

Default behind the passenger seat, in the cubby, is a handle to open the trunk. In the trunk, open the flap

by the tail light, there is a cable with a rubber sleeve on it (my have a yellow tag on it), pull it, the gas cap will open.

Default Gas cap manual release under the flap on the right side of the boot.

As to the universal failure of the switches, that seems odd. From work I can't offer help.

that's not the issue at all, this is a known software problem. It fixes itself in most cases.

Default Jeff...sorry about the SME comment>>>

having a bit of a bad day...and you have always provided great info to the forum...

That said, knowing how cranky the TT is with electrical, there have been issues related to the fuse block, green temp sensor...etc...still thinking checking that fuse block is not a bad idea, and should not be dismissed as "not the issue at all" when it could be remotely possible

Again, apologies for the comment...

Cheers..

Hans

Final episode, after 4-5 evolutions, both buttons on the lower console, started working again. I love a car that heals itself. Thanks to all that helped us out.
