help.. Aliens not working

tried the aliens with headlights on, windshield washer works fine, but aliens don't pop out! Anyone else with this problem? Vag-Com tells me I have faults with my left headlight motor and level sensor. Do these fault codes have to be cleared for the aliens to work?

Check your fuses...

I am so used to using regular water for the windshield washing reservoir because I am from a warm climate that I forgot all about that water freezing when it gets cold. The water froze and when I tried to use the washer I blew a fuse. The windshield jets worked after the water thawed but the aliens didn't. Once I changed the blown fuse the aliens worked again. Sorry I cant remember which fuse it was.
