Default HELP with the basics ...

I'm a new TT owner (July 15th), and had no idea what I was getting myself into. I started my convertible affair with a Mazda RX-7, then a 325 and 328 ci. Took a timeout with a QX4, and now I'm in love again! I've been really impressed with this forum and the quality of info, stories etc shared here, and lets not forget the pictures!

OK, I could use some help with a few things, although I've already installed Euro mirrors and picked up Zaino in LA.

Here are my questions:

(1) I'm interested in the control module mod's but wonder if the VAG tool is worth it to me. My 2002 TT has the premium BOSE, and the bass range is already from -6 to +6. It still displays BOSE. Can I get any more bass? Can you mod the settings to preserve the tone settings?

(2) I kinda like the Becart dimpled license frame, but don't think it will look right in the front with that flimsy black plastic thing. Any opinions?

(3) I use my cell alot, and am considering installing a CellPort or a THB voice recognition hands free kit and a Kuda phone base to the right of the hand brake. Anyone have any experience with Kuda mounts, THB or Cellport kits?

(4) I already own a V-1. Is the lower part of the windshield the best location, or up by the rear view mirror? I plan to wire it.

Thanks!

2002 Lake Silver w/Ebony Roadster
Upgraded wheels and Bose
Euro Mirrors
Stem Caps on order
Strat Handrest (thinking about it)
Chip (one of these days)

Picture to follow after I Zaino the TT

Default My V1 is to the right and slightly behind the rear view mirror. The remote display is just above

the gas and temp. gages. This way the V1 is not noticeable to someone looking into the driver's window (hint police) and you cannot see the remote display unless you look pretty hard for it.

While the Becart dimpled frame is very nice, I think it is a bit too pricey. I went with a stainless Audi tag that I got on ebay for $15.

What type of cell phone do you have? Some have installed the Motorola v60 with a handsfree kit.

You will absolutely love your TT. But beware, you can start adding things until it becomes a habit. I would say the only 2 things one should add as a minimum are the Euro mirrors and Strat armrest. This is coming from someone that has put an extra $10,000 in their TT in one year.

Good Luck
