High flow air intake and DV
I installed a high flow air intake on my 2002 225 TT. After doing so I experienced the well described (in this forum) "honk" in the system around the 3000 rpm range. I also experienced a rattling metallic noise when accelerating hard. It is not like the 'whoosh' sound which I was expecting (or is it?). I replaced the DV with a Bosch oem replacement. It tamed the metallic rattling noise a little but, the noise is still there under acceleration. I also still have the 'honk' at 3000+/- rpm. I didn't think the new air intake would affect the DV quite so. All of this occurs under load on the road and not in the driveway when just gunning it. So, the question is, do I replace the Bosch DV with a Forge (or like DV) or is there something else going on? Should I consider a MAF replacement or what?
