. . . yes they've been removed from the heat source.

Default why would the parking lights>>>>

generate that much heat in the headlight housings?

Don't know - stock bulbs, in the car for about 18 months . . .

Default My painted ones burned off too. The heat has to go somewhere, I guess... I suspect it is the top

of both pieces that is melted? Maybe leave a vent hole or two when you redo it.

Default those are some kind of after-market ambers, obviously not high-temp >

maybe the solution is to mod the original ambers?
Has anyone just 'sandwiched' the orig's behind the new riso clears?

and a set of spare housings - just havent gotten around to it yet - but been watching this problem for some time, since McP painted his - i'll try a spaced sandwich - mmm - that sounds illicit! - and be the next guniea...

Default Question: Why not just put your OEM ambers behind the new clears?

I'm only asking. I don't have clears myself but it seems to me that would be the think to do. Just cut the OEM's down a bit and glue them in place about 1 inch or so behind the clears. Any thoughts?
