Interior Problems
Anyways, Scott proceeds to have about...ahhh...say 12 Gin & Tonics at Gatsby's here in Boca Raton. On the way home he kindly puked them up (along with about a dozen chicken wings) all over my car. I'm talking a full load.
I started clean-up the next morning, and in the hot Florida sun things did not go well. The vomit had really begun to smell, so I sprayed some deodorant on it before scooping it up with this little shovel my son has for the beach.
I then wiped up the remains with a rag soaked in 1 part water 1 part bleach, but it didn't do a good job with the stains or the smell. My questions:
1) How do I remove the stains?
2) How do I remove the liquor/chicken wing/deodorant/bleach smell?
3) How can I get Scott to help, as he's not returning my phone calls now.
Thanks for the input,
Rick
Have a friend (not a mutual friend) call Scott. Proceed to tell (or leave a message on answering machine) Scott that they are Mr. XXX from law firm YYY, representing you in the case against him. Filed in circuit court blah blah, and that they request Scott to answer some questions about the case. Have the person tell Scott that he is being sued for $25,000, which is the cost to replace the interior of your car as the odor and stains will not come out. Be sure to also mention that due to DNA evidence that your law firm was able to obtain, it has been determined that the stains in the car definitely belong to him.
This is all obviously ficticious, but very likely enough to get poor old Scott to hurry his *** over to your house to clean your car.
Now, if Scott is not a good friend, and is just an aquaintence, you may want to persue most of what I listed in reality. Obviously nobody is going to go to the lengths of DNA testing, as that would cost more than replacing the interior. However, you have very few other choices. If you cannot remove the smell and the stains, you're stuck with a very smelly, ugly car that is otherwise beautiful. Interior replacement probably would actually run between 5-12k$ depending on how much got ruined. The seats alone are probably a grand a pop.
Being that you were sober, and did not cause this, and he was irresponsible in what he consumed, he is the obvious one at fault. Take him to court if you need to.<p>
