Location of oil filter for 2000 TT

Location of oil filter for 2000 TT

does anyone know where the oil filter is located? i heard if it's located near the rear of the engine it's gonna be very difficult to change yourself. this'll be my first time doing changing oil btw

mine was on the front of the engine, underneath the car, remove the metal pipe for the IC

after removing that, you will beable to get the oil filter off, well this is for my Quattro, im sure there all the same.

Last I checked, that pipe was welded in.

Nope comes right out, kinda a pain, but i think it was like 4 botls holding it in

Leave the pipe in and pull filter from the top.

I've done it well over a dozen times.

Two more things: get a strap type oil tool and punch a hole in the filter to release vacuum..
