Default Longitudinal Acceleration Sensor

My 2001 225HP TT has always had the ABS and the ESP indicator light on. My Vag Com says Longitudinal Acceleration Sensor Fault. So I replaced both the long and the lat sensors today with some used ones, and still got the same code. Could something else need replacing, or should I try another set of sensors?

Yes, many times. Should the car be moving?

When you clear the code, does it come back immediately, or after you have been driving? Is there only one code or multiple?

When my longitudinal sensor went (the one under the steering wheel, I think that's the long one...), I only had an ESP light, no ABS, and it just cleared and stayed clear.

I think I may have found the problem, after searching the the archives and the FAQ, I found that there are two sensors with the same number. So I will be replacing the one behind the glove box next.

It is not unusual to have to change both of them. It seems that the DTC can be less than trustworthy as to which one is bad. I had to change them both a couple years back too.

How much did both of the acceleration sensor and it is worth it? I don't really feel much of a difference is handled when the ESP come on.
