Mechanic recommendations in NOVA
I am looking for someone reliable in northern VA who won't charge and arm and a leg to work on a 2001 Audi TT. I searched the forum, but didn't find anything recent on this. I'd be grateful for recommendations or a pointer if there is somewhere better to look for this info.

Foriegn Service, right in the same center two doors down, has done work on my Audis and BMWs over the last 10 years. Mike, the owner, is very fair. Once the car wasn't done right, which really wasn't their fault (squealing brakes), and they went really out of their way to keep me satisfied. Can't ask for much more than that...

Not to hijack the thread but...
Any of you took your Audi to one of these places for the airbag light? I met with one place that charged $150 to inspect it and then couldn't solve the problem. I need it fixed so I can pass my annual inspection.

Never had that problem. I did have the whole dashboard go out, missed the class action suit deadline by a few weeks, and it took Audi and the dealership six months to do the right thing.
