Default Hey, English please. I know what an N75 is and I know you use the VAG to log stuff...

But how do I know if a turbo is good or not? Should I have it rebuilt or something before I put it in?

Default Okay, I'm pretty convinced my turbo went kaput.

I'll have to check the charge pipe tonight when the car gets towed to the house.

Default Shoot me an email if you're interested.....

Car and turbo have just under 40k on them. Car was chipped with REVO at around 25k. We can discuss price offline.

Default its 2 late now :-) BUT for the future, its always good to log N75 duty cycle once in a while in

block 118. High duty cycle can mean that something is wrong and N75 is requesting the wastegate to stay open longer than it has to. This will result in shorter turbo life.

Default Sure...here's what they did with mine

I used Majestic Turbo in Waco, Texas. It was about $200. There are probably other companies close to you who can help.

Also, check out www.k04turbos.com for good prices on new turbos. That is where I bought my replacement.

Default What's considered a high duty cycle?

How long do I have to log it for. I've only used my VAG to reset the CEL every week or so due to "incorrect secondary air pump" or somethign liek that.

Default I don't think so. But I had the AC blasting. It's 101 today.

Yeah, and I had to walk 6 miles uphill to home because nobody was picking up their damn phones. I tried to hitchhike but I was dressed like a vagrant. When I got home, I jumped into the pool and nearly drowned because my legs started cramping from all the uphill walking and dehydration. Death by turbo.
