Need advice on rear CV axle
Hello everyone,
I'm new to this forum, but have found it very helpful over the years.
Just need to know if anyone can offer advice on removal of the rear driver's side CV axle (the passenger side one was not hard to do).
I've removed all of the mounting bolts and have the axle loose. I've removed the axle nut and hub as well (replacing rear wheel bearings), but I don't have enough room to wiggle the axle free. The edge of the inner CV joint is stopping me from removing it as it keeps hitting the transmission.
Moreover, I noticed that if I finally do get it free, I won't have the room to remove it further because the exhaust is in the way.
Has anyone ever dealt with this? Any advice would be fantastic.
