Default I know of 2 choices...>>

K04-001 is a direct replacement to our K03. with software, it will get you around 245bhp and 268 lb. ft. tourque. APR has a kit or you can put it together yourself.

APR has a Stage III kit for our cars for around $4,800. A few here have that kit. since you have a 2000, the SIII+ won't work.

Just remenber, it's a slippery slope either way.

An upgraded inctercooler is highly recommended for both.

Default Although discouraging. There is no cheap way to go BT, you end up upgrading everything in theend>

to get it to work correctly... Since your car has haldex your options become limited and you end up spending much more than MK4 guys with FWD and with the same motor whose car's go faster in the end due to less weight and less drivetrain resistance. MK4 FWD 1.8T k03's run the same speed as k04's with simmilar mods. I've had a lot of experience with this. Even off the line if it's a good driver in the fwd mk4.

To be honest, I've come to face the facts. I bought my car for the looks and the fun factor, at first I thought it went as fast as a bullet, then I got a ride in a few other cars, raced a few and realized that it's better just to enjoy what you have and improve upon the happiness your car gives you to begin with: looks and a little handling. For the first time since I bought my car I'm sending it to a body shop this Spring and I'm about to purchase some high end audio equipment. I wish you the best of luck with your turbo build but if you bought this car for speed it's just going to be expensive speed that's all I was trying to say.
(end of rant)
