Default Negative boost.......

For as long as I've had my boost gauge, when the car is idling it is sitting at around -10 to -15psi and also when decelerating in gear it would show around that same amount to maybe even to -20 psi. which from what I understand, is normal.

Within the last couple of weeks, I've noticed that the lowest the gauge ever shows now is -5psi both at idle and when in gear decelerating.

The only mechanical thing I've changed is the exhaust last week, and the car is still boosting properly on the positive side.

Maybe a gauge? I know my car hasn't gotten that much more efficient by itself.

Default Check for vacum leaks... even what it was before is off

its really inch/mercury also not -psi.. but we get the point.

Anyway, normal vacum readings should be about 15-20 inches... so what you had before was definitly off and what you have now is even worse.

Default Could this also be related to why my DV keeps fluttering?

They both started roughly the same time......Where should I start looking? Just check all vacuum lines, I guess?

Default Yeah I'd start with checking your DV then.

Where is your boost gauge tapped into?

yep, I think mine goes to -25 when in gear and to around -18 (-10 with AC) when in neutral.
