Default next step

Ive got a 2002 TT 225 Quattro, so far I have an APR chip and the Forge 007P DV

What should I do next? Are intakes worth it? Do FMIC do much on a TT with minor mods such as mine?

Default exhaust would be a good next step...

and if you don't want to do a full-fledged intake, at least drop a K & N in your stock box to open things up a little on the intake side.

IMO you should go with suspension and exhaust.

Default Evoms.com or schwing's are quite good. K&N yeilds nothing

the filter is not the bottle neck, the plumbing is.

Default Re:

Follow links to Schwing's fokti album and get his TTDA, but they're right above. A sport suspension will help with handling more than you may think, (helps looks too), and a sport exhaust smooths out overall powerband (particularly with a chip) noticeably. You can generally get discounts on all these things (and no shipping if you take it with you) at TT-East, as well as learn a lot.

Cheers,
Rich

Default Chassis, chassis, chassis

THAT is what you should do next. the car has gained it's most powerful mod already. make it stable as all hell before making it faster. it's truely the safer route.

after that, the exhaust yeilds good gains. the intake cleans things up. and the FMIC keeps the power there when it's hot. it seriously dyno'd the same when on 91 gas. on 100 octane, it yeilded 11 whp.

put proper springs and shocks, set up your alignment, and then possibly add a rear swaybar for more oversteer.

Default There are many who disagree, with evidence to the contrary

but I'm not getting into a debate over a frickin' air filter. Note Schwing's unit uses a K & N too. Can't be all bad...;-)

Just so as not to mislead someone who is new to these cars and maybe to modding generally, I think it is a good idea to couch statements of opinion in those terms.

Default Schwing is a guy on this forum. Search for any of his posts, and

you will find a link to his albums. TTDA is a type of intake that he designed, and quite a few a people here use.
