o2 Sensor code...

If my MAF is out, what are the chances that my o2 sensor would throw a code or be related to the blown MAF?

ALso...

Is there a way through the VAG to view the 11 onboard monitors the car has?

I'm in the process of smoging my 01 225 and it failed because only 8 of the 11 monitors were ready. I heard from my smog guy that when you clear codes the 11 onboard monitors reset and it takes almost 50 miles of driving time for the monitors to become ready or pass. Any truth to that?

My MAF has gone bad and the 3 monitors that are not ready or passing are the MAF, O2 Sensor and Heat O2 sensor.

Is this all directly related to my bad MAF?

your smog guy was right - if the codes are cleared, all three sensors might give a 'fail' >

for the test, not *necessarily* related to the MAF. Happened to me last year, exactly those sensors.

Yea he was saying it could take up to 50 miles for those o2 monitors to become active again...

But is there a way I can check them myself to see if they're failing or active through the Vagcom?

that I don't know; there might be a voltage reading you can take >

or the fact that they are NOT giving you a fault code might let you infer they're ok.

They are checking the readiness code, there are limits >>>

with how many are allowed to be "failed or incomplete". This varies by state.

9 of 11 must pass here in California....

I'm passing on 8 but the final 3 which are the MAF, o2 sensor and the o2 heat sensor are not currently passing. I'm going to do some fiddeling around with the vag tonight and see if I can check the status of those monitors to see when they become available so i can return it to smog. I ordered a new MAF and new brakes which will be here on monday so hopefully that takes care of my not passing issue...

You can check everything with vag-com.
