Default Official announcement: "TT-East: Asheville 2002"!!!!!

On behalf of the TT-East 2002 organizing committee (and no, I will not reveal their names/identities at this time) and the fine work that they have done to help make this event a reality, I am proud to present...

"TT-East: Asheville 2002"

Can I get a "Hallelujah" from the TT forum!? ...and again!? ...and again!?

Thank you!

OK, back on track... below is merely basic information concerning this event as all details have yet to worked out and defined. At this time I can say that this event WILL HAPPEN in Asheville, North Carolina from May 2-5, 2002 and it is expected to be quite a BLAST!

As I said, I am currently working out all the final details for the official event web site and I expect to have it fully functional, with online registration, within the coming weeks. So get those hotel rooms at the Sunspree Holiday Inn reserved ASAP and stay tuned to the official event web site (http://www.tt-east.com/) folks, this is going to be the mother of all TT events... guaranteed!

See y'all in Asheville!

-Peter

Event Description

Following on the heels of the highly successful First Annual North American Audi TT Gathering in April 2001 to tour Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater and Kentuck **** houses near Somerset Pennsylvania, the Audi TT Car Club America is proud to present the second annual East Coast Audi TT owner's event taking place in and around beautiful Asheville, North Carolina May 2nd to 5th 2002. TT-East: Asheville 2002 will be a multi-day event to tour the exquisite European architecture inspired Biltmore Estate, to drive the mind-boggling 318 turns in 11 miles of nearby Deal's Gap, and to share in the enthusiasm that the Audi TT inspires in us all. With picturesque scenery, inspiring drives, vendor exhibits & tech sessions, and the camaraderie of fellow Audi TT enthusiasts, this year's event promises to be one of the largest and most exciting Audi TT gatherings to date!

Event Details (subject to change)

The TT-East: Asheville 2002 event opens on Thursday evening May 2nd in Asheville, North Carolina at the Sunspree Holiday Inn with an event pre-registration session followed by an opening reception party. The final event registration session will take place Friday morning May 3rd and after a buffet breakfast, there will be several vendor-sponsored technical sessions as well as vendor exhibits available for browsing throughout the day. Then late Friday afternoon, we drive to the nearby Biltmore Estate to take a guided candlelight tour and then it's off to dinner at the Stable Cafe located on the estate grounds. On Saturday morning May 4th after an early buffet breakfast, we depart early for an all-day drive to Deal's Gap to play on a myriad of twisties, also known as The Tail of the Dragon. Those not wishing to drive to Deal's Gap will have the option to visit other attractions in and around the Asheville area; vendor exhibits will also be available throughout the day. Finally, on Saturday evening, a closing dinner and a vendor-sponsored raffle will take place.
