Outside Temp sensor missing?
I noticed that my outside temperature readings have been about 20deg higher than what it really is outside, and I figured it was probably pushed up against an engine part. Well I read that it was on a little bracket in front of the radiator, but when I looked there it looks like the bracket had broken off and I also noticed two broken wires hanging in that area. If the entire sensor and bracket broke off, how am I getting readings at all? Shouldnt it show one reading or none at all? Also I noticed my check engine light comes on on really cold days when its like 30deg outside, but the temp is reading 45. Think this could have anything to do with that, or is that just my maf? What do you guys think? hopefully a new temp sensor isn't much from the stealership. Thanx

Ummm...The ambient temp sensor is pretty important....>
It's not just for the temp reading on the dash. It lets the ecu know what conditions are so parameters can be set, anticipates climate controls inside ect. ect...
Be a good ideal to replace that..
