porsche boxter s

yesterday, i was in the dealers showroom,saw a beatiful boxter,black,tan interior,with all the options, i was just about to give in my 2 month old ttr. still thinking.-

It is a nice car but

Just think of this....

Take the *extra* money you will be spending on the Boxter S and divide that by 2...then take that money and spend it on upgrading the TT to specs above and beyond the *S* plus it is unique.

Just my opinion.....

extremely nice car performance and looks wise, still more common than the TT

You would be hard pressed to do enough mods to a TT to make it faster than the S. A chip and exhaust aren't going to do it. I would still go for the TT (coupe) personally. If I were buying a roadster it would have been the boxster though.

Had one. New Porsches break....

I returned it after 3 days and about 30 stalls (some at very dangerous times). The S pictured threw a belt on a warped steering pump pulley housing. It was down for three weeks with under 5K on it. The economic directives of the new man in charge is reflected in the sub par quality in the new product line up. The workers on the plants in the factory call it the "clipster" because the car is just snipped together. Not comforting for a 60K car. It is a great performer, but the laws of probability are against reliability from my perspective. Why not just put 6K into your current car in mods and make it perform like an 85K 911? Just a thought.
