Default Possible Bilstein strut problem??

I opened one of my new Bilstein struts and found that it has, what I'm assuming to be, drops of red hydraulic fluid down the yellow shaft. It doesn't appear to be too recent as it is somewhat dried to the outer yellow part of the strut. I did pull up the dust cover and compressed the strut a few times to see if anything came out between the silver shaft and the yellow casing, but it didn't appear to leak at all. I don't see any other place it could leak, but I also don't know how the fluid would have gotten there otherwise... If it is indeed hydraulic fluid. Should I return the strut or just install it and watch it for a while to see if it appears to be leaking?

Default Normal

I seem to remember reading someplace that a bit of oil is normal on new Bilstein shocks/struts. As mentioned elsewhere, just keep an eye on them for continued leakage.
