Default Possible to change APR programs while driving?

Is there anything wrong with changing between APR stock mode and chipped 91 while driving?

It's not recommended.

I've done it by accident (cruise control coasting) before with no problems, but I wouldn't do it.

Default Probably not a good idea but I've done it countless times. Never a hitch.

Now if you tail end somebody while you're looking down counting the flashes------- that can't be good.

I have the ECU reset option too and have cleared a cel while cruising down the interstate. All without stopping.
That was back when I had a bad temp sender and had not gotten around to getting a new one. Knew the reason for the cel.

Default The manual says:

"Warning! Do not attempt to switch programs while the car is in motion! Although a car with a soldered in EMCS system will allow program switching whenever the ignition is on, it is not recommended to switch programs unless the engine is off and/or the car is motionless. Attempting to switch programs while driving could be distracting for the driver and could result in an accident."

The only reason it says not to is because of the distraction, not because of any technical reason.

Not that I would switch it much while driving, but I'd like to know that if I wanted to I could without messing anything up.

With DirectPort it's not possible, but with EMCS modules it can be done.

Default Addendum for DirectPort programmed ecu's >>>

After changing programs, turn the ignition key to the OFF position for a minimum of 10 seconds. Turn the ignition to the ON position and wait until the check engine and EPC lights illuminate on the dash before starting the engine. FAILURE TO DO THIS, ESPECIALLY ON AUTOMATIC CARS, WILL MOST LIKELY RESULT IN A FAULT CODE AND POOR PERFORMANCE.
