Yes! Goto Engine-> Fault codes. Press the delete button even if there are no codes listed. This will clear the ECU's memory. It needs about 50km drive to relearn.

Don't believe that works... he needs to do a throttle body adaptation (Instructions inside)
<b>Instructions:</b>
This procedure can be done from any VAG-compatible 1551/1552 auto diagnostic tool, e.g. VAG-COM, ProDiag, etc.
Throttle Body Adaptation Procedure:
1. Connect the VAG harness to the car.
2. Turn the car on but not over.
3. On the VAG Screen, enter the Engine Control Module (01).
4. Now go to Measure Blocks (08).
5. On the first measuring block line, enter "060" and then press "go".
6. Once the measurements come up, press the "Basic Settings" buttin (04).
7. The adaptation takes place and you will see "ADAP OK" to the right of the blocks.
8. Exit the Module.
9. Turn the car off and turn it back on.
10. You will here the high pitched whine of the adaptation taking place.
11. When the high-pitched whine stops, turn the car over.
12. Disconnect the VAG harness and you're done.

Only way to clear fuel maps is to...>
power the unit down completely. Pulling fuses, clearing codes etc. don't clear the EPROM memory. The ECU is always powered as long as a battery ic sonnected. To truly clear it, disconnect for 5 minutes or so..
