Preferred Shift Points?

Just beginning to learn my TT's favorite shift points (TTRQ). Would like some guidance from those who've come before me.

Shift around 6,000 RPM.

I think there's not really any point in running it all the way up to redline because your power starts to drop off after 5,500 RPM. When you shift at 6,000 you'll still be in the 2,500 - 5,500 RPM power band when you get in the next gear.

For downshifting, well...Just don't let it get below 2,500 RPM or you won't have much power when you step on it again.

If you mean shift rpms for performance driving...got my shift light set at 5800 rpm...by the time..

I actually do the shift cycle I estimate rpm at around 6100...nice spot to be.

For stoplight drags.....try 5600rpm to win....redline to loose
