Default Problem w/ CD changer...
My CD player read CD1 ERR3

the changer will not accept the caddy. I push the caddy in and it pops right out. I've tapped the eject button multiple times as the manual suggests but to no avail. I think the changer mechanism is BROKEN

The changer seems a bit low grade if you ask me.
Any one have a suggestion or experienced the same problem?

Default You didn't mention whether you removed all of the CD's and reseated them or changed them out
perhaps there is a problem with a particular disk. I would load a whole new set of 6 in there and give it another try. You might also get a flash light and look into the mechanism to make sure there's no foreign matter that has gotten pushed in there.

I did as you suggested..the changer will not accept the caddy..it doesn't lock into place

Try inserting the caddy with no CD's in it;

Try another caddy (Audi dealer could have one on hand, if not in another TT on the showroom floor)

Default Mine broke down as well about a month and half ago but not in the same manner as yours...
I can't remember the exact error message but it couldn't read any of the CD's in the cartridge. I just had the dealer replace it.
