Problems with a TT test drive-need help
1) Noticed that the shifter twitched a little bit. I was third gear maybe doing 40mph or so, maybe more, and i had my hand on the shifter, and it twitched intermittently as I eased of the gas and i gave it a little throttle
2) Drove the quattro, and i had a decent amount of squealing in the tires. The salesperson said that was because the pressure was low. But i thought the quattro would have been better about it. Please confirm
3)Lastly the freakest things. I was stoped a stop sign with my left turn signal on. I then accelerated while turning very quickly. I noticed that for a split second both my turn signals came on like when u turn your hazards on. First i thought i might have hit the hazard button. But then i saw the hazard button was in the center of the console. So there was no way i could have done that.
Please, if you noticed these problems and fixed them get back to me. I want to bring these up with the dealer before i sign on the dotten line.
Thanks
2. Was ESP on or off? Quattro should prevent much squealing on a 180 and ESP should take care of the rest except for maybe a chirp
3. Never had that happen either.
Conclusion... buy a different TT.
And about the twitching he says that if you are say in third gear but ur rpms are low enough for u to be in 2nd the gear disegages or some thing. I can't confirm, but can some one try it out when they are driving today.
As far as the hazards, it could be something in the steering column (intermittent connection, etc)
That issue does need to be addressed.
Hope this helps...
Never noticed Warning stuff.
