Press and hold RDS and the button directly above or below for a few seconds until
1000 is displayed. Use the number buttons to set the code: Button 1 corresponds to the first digit so you keep pressing it until the 1st digit is set. Dot he same with button 2 for the 2nd digit and 3 for the 3rd, etc.
When the display shows your code press and hold the RDS (and the button directly above or below it) until the radio frequency is displayed.
Done
I'm not looking at the radio which is why i can't remember the other button, I thinks it's FM or FM2, it will be obvious when you look at it.

Re: Which part did not work? Going into safe mode or punching in the code or....?
When I hold in the RDS & FM buttons nothing changes it still displays SAFE. I have checked the fuse in the fuse panel and it is ok.
