Remote Start
Anyone here other than Jeff Bipes install a Remote Start system on their TT? If so, did you get the remote start add-on, or the entire security/auto-windows/flashing lights deal? Be aware you will need a 'Transponder Bypass' system to work with any remote start system...

and you will need this.

the key with the 'chip' in it, sits in the field generated by the transponder to trick the system to think there is a key in the ignition.
I just went through a lengthy arguement on our local forum with someone that in efffect told me I was full of it, becuase they didn't beleive me.
cost him a bundle to find out I was right, all because in the end, he didn't have the key and figured he didn't need it.
BTW- one nice 'perk' of my system is that it has a 2 min. 'Turbo timer' and it also works with the OEM door locks and alarm.

Well its a neat idea
but for me, ultimately a toy. On my MT6, I would just want it to be an add on system that wouldn't even need a key in the ignition, and would utilize my existing key fob. Is that possible? I wasn't aiming for an intricate system like yours, Jeff.
