Replacing Windshield
Well it finally happened after only 10,000 miles. A rock struck the windshield on the freeway and made a small bullseye crack.
Has anybody had to have the windshield replaced? I hate to go through this especially with a novel car and windshield design. I am fearful that it cannot be done correctly by the dealer (if done at all). I remember when this happened to my 325i, a special service came in to do the job (I was sure it would be crooked or leak). Besides waiting for the replacement, I would sure like the person doing the replacement to have had some practice on this car before. I live in the SF bay area and wonder if somebody else has had this experience here.

If you look in the archives you will find someone has found aftermarket drop-in replacement for one quarter or so of the cost of the glass at the dealer . As for working with the TT that is another story. Good luck. Perhaps if you find it you should repost it for the rest of us.
