Sluggish Speedometer

Sluggish Speedometer
Guys,
I recently noticed my Speedometer (and tachometer for that matter) getting sluggish. Meaning that when slowing down or accelerating it would just hang at a certain spot (at 40 km/h, 70 km/h, 150km/h and around 220 km/h) and then just jump to the actual speed. The same goes for the tachometer, hanging at 2800, 4000, and 5500. Any one seen this before? Ideas? I would prefer to keep my German Speedometer cluster and not exchange it for an American.

I know this is not exactly what you are looking for but.....
