Solution found!! Glove box between seats.
Hi guys,
I bought my 2001 MK1 Roadster two weeks ago. I sorted out the cruise control with the help of another member here. A couple of days ago, the plastic piece broke off the latch of the compartment between seats. I've seen posts everywhere about this. Lots of people say to use magnets. Others say to use velcro to hold the door shut. I have looked for a week now for a better solution. I think I've finally found something. I ordered this today. I ordered the black so it would blend in with the black panel. I also ordered the spring and bucket to mount the pin so it will be completely flush. I will post pictures of the install as soon as it comes in and installed. Here's a couple pictures. I will see if I can find a video to post as well.
