Default Some interesting data...

It appears that someone (not me) has hacked Audi's new and improved, password protected Team Houston website. Now, it's not like there are unbelievable secrets or anything, but here's a link which shows some of the first TTs arriving. Even the first NM prototypes, which were later destroyed, are listed. All of the TT vins start with TRU. The NM German prototypes have ZZZ in the vin.
Maybe, you'll see your vin. Mine looks line this:
12904|Houston|TRUTC28N7Y1101046|N3N44|422A 97|Shipped||05-05-1999|WAGGONER||755|
I'll also provide another link which shows Audis and VWs that are currently arriving. For those of you awaiting your TTs, maybe you'll spot your VIN. Here's the first link of early arrivals:

"Old" Houston arrivals

Here is a listing of the new VW/Audis that are arriving. What I think is interesting is the "NUTRANS" notation after quite a large number of the Audis and especially the TTs. Could that mean anything other than new transmission? I don't think so. Is there still any doubt that a number of these cars have transmission problems?
Here's the link:

Newer VW/Audi arrivals

Even more NUTRANS (and this is only a small percentage of the total NUTRANS TTs):
TRUTC28N5Y1012303|8N3554|423A88|HOLD|08-27-1999|08-29-1999||||
15436|TRUTC28N1Y1012170|8N3554|423A90| Shipped||08-13-1999|NUTRANS||472|SOLD
15437|TRUTC28N4Y1012552| 8N3554|423A90|Shipped||08-13-1999|NUTRANS||491|SOLD
15438|TRUUC28N5Y1012032| 8N355N|423A90|Shipped||08-15-1999|NUTRANS||463|SOLD
15439|WAUBA34B7XN130936| 4B24VZ|423A90|Shipped||08-12-1999|NUTRANS||497|
15440|WAUCB28D6XA331113|8D25 IZ|423A90|Shipped||08-13-1999|NUTRANS||491|
15441|WAUCB28D7XA331167|8D25 IZ|423A90|Shipped||08-15-1999|NUTRANS||463|
15442|WAUCB28D7XA331427|8D25 IZ|423A90|Shipped||08-13-1999|NUTRANS||491|
15443|WAUCB28D9XA331011|8D25 I5|423A90|Shipped||08-12-1999|NUTRANS||497|SOLD
15444|WAUCB28DXXA328991| 8D25IZ|423A90|Shipped||08-15-1999|NUTRANS||463|
15445|WAUED28D3XA331332|8D25 VZ|423A90|Shipped||08-13-1999|NUTRANS||491|
15446|WAUED28D4XA323563|8D25 VZ|423A90|Shipped||08-12-1999|NUTRANS||497|SOLD
15447|WAUED28D5XA331199| 8D25VZ|423A90|Shipped||08-13-1999|NUTRANS||491|
15448|WAUED28D6XA326447|8D25 VZ|423A90|Allocated||||||
15449|WAUED28D6XA3310 96|8D25VZ|423A90|Shipped||08-12-1999|NUTRANS||497|
15450|WAUED28D8XA331391|8D25 V5|423A90|Shipped||08-13-1999|NUTRANS||491|
15451|WAUED28D9XA331299|8D25 VZ|423A90|Shipped||08-12-1999|NUTRANS||497|
15452|WAUED28DXXA331067|8D25 V5|423A90|Shipped||08-12-1999|NUTRANS||497|
15453|WAUED28DXXA331246|8D25 V5|423A90|Allocated||||||
15454|TRUTC28N7Y10128 53|8N3554|423D35|Allocated||||||21 RPTR119
15455|WAUCB28DXXA331468|8D25IZ|423D35|S hipped||08-12-1999|NUTRANS||450|
15456|WAUED28D2XA330995|8D25 V5|423D35|Shipped||08-13-1999|NUTRANS||472|PER DICK
15457|WAUED28D3XA307550|8D25VZ|423D35|Ship ped||08-11-1999|SIERRA MTN.||233|
15458|WAUED28D6XA330837|8D25VZ|423D3 5|HOLD|08-20-1999|08-22-1999||||
15459|WAUED28DXXA330825|8D25VZ|423D35| Shipped||08-14-1999|NUTRANS||490|
15460|TRUTC28N5Y1012267|8N35 54|423D36|Shipped||08-13-1999|NUTRANS||448|PER BUD H.
15461|WAUCB28D0XA330488|8D25I5|423D36|Shippe d||08-13-1999|NUTRANS||448|SOLD
15462|WAUCB28D3XA321218| 8D25I5|423D36|HOLD|08-20-1999|08-22-1999||||PER JAY P
15463|WAUCB28D5XA317137|8D25IZ|423D36|Shipped ||08-13-1999|NUTRANS||448|
15464|WAUCB28D5XA330910|8D25 IZ|423D36|Shipped||08-12-1999|NUTRANS||450|
15465|WAUED28D3XA328205|8D25 V5|423D36|HOLD|08-18-1999|08-20-1999||||
15466|WAUED28D3XA330973|8D25VZ|423D36| Shipped||08-12-1999|NUTRANS||450|
15467|WAUED28D6XA331034|8D25 VZ|423D36|Shipped||08-14-1999|NUTRANS||490|
15468|WAUED28D9XA331058|8D25 V5|423D36|Shipped||08-13-1999|NUTRANS||448|
15469|WAUGB28D1XA329254|8D55 IZ|423D36|HOLD|08-07-1999|08-09-1999||||
15470|WAUGB28D7XA331039|8D55I5|423D36| Shipped||08-12-1999|NUTRANS||450|PER BUD H.
15471|WAUED28D9XA331125|8D25V5|423D73|Shippe d||08-15-1999|NUTRANS||463|
15472|WAUGB28D4XA324680|8D55 IZ|423D73|Shipped||08-15-1999|NUTRANS||463|SOLD PLEASE RUSH
15473|TRUUC28N7Y1011397|8N355N|423D95|Ship ped||08-14-1999|NUTRANS||490|
15474|WAUED28D1XA328798|8D25 VZ|423D95|Shipped||08-14-1999|NUTRANS||490|
15475|TRUTC28N2Y1012632|8N35 54|423D99|Shipped||08-13-1999|NUTRANS||448|PER VINCE
15476|TRUTC28N6Y1012259|8N3554|423D99|Shi pped||08-13-1999|NUTRANS||448|PER VINCE
15477|TRUTC28N8Y1009640|8N3554|423D99|Shi pped||08-14-1999|NUTRANS||490|
15478|TRUUC28N8Y1011697|8N35 5N|423D99|HOLD|08-20-1999|08-22-1999||||
15479|WAUCB28D5XA326937|8D25IZ|423D99| Shipped||08-14-1999|NUTRANS||490|
15480|WAUCB28D6XA323609|8D25 IZ|423D99|Assigned To Carrier|08-13-1999|08-15-1999|JACK KEY|||
15481|WAUCB28D7XA330312|8D25IZ|423D99|Sh ipped||08-11-1999|SIERRA MTN.||233|
15482|WAUED28D5XA330635|8D25VZ|423D9 9|Shipped||08-12-1999|NUTRANS||450|21 RPTR119
15483|WAUED28D8XA330693|8D25VZ|423D99|S hipped||08-12-1999|NUTRANS||450|

I'd caution against jumping to conclusions. That specific "field" in the database table has a number of different values, including "WAGGONER", "JACK KEY", "DOUBLE S", "BNSF", etc.
My guess is that this is the name of the transportation company that has been "assigned" to haul that car to its final destination. I'm 99.999% sure that BNSF refers to the Burlingon Northern - Santa Fe Railroad company.
(It was cool to find my car in the list.)

You may be right. If true, the NUTRANS would be kind of a funny coincidence considering all of the Tranny Turmoil (aka TT). Still, I thought that the lists were kind of fun. Audi took this site down for several months to increase the security. Looks like it didn't work, altough I'm not sure why they should care so much.

Default NUTRANS is a trucking company (was Re: Some more interesting data...)

Just did some digging and found the website for Nu Trans, Inc. And they do automobile transport/shipment (in nice curtained transports). They transport from Houston Texas to three general geographic areas: Pacific Northwest (Oregon/Washington), North Central (Dakotas, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois), and the upper Atlantic (Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, etc.)

NU TRANS, INC. - A pioneer in specialized transportation

I have to admit, it is pretty funny. Looking at all of those TTs with NUTRANS under the remarks section, I thought that we had a real smoking gun here. It certainly is ironic. Well, at least the site's been hacked for apparently the first time since they implemented "increased security measures" months ago, so that anxious folks awaiting arival of their TTs can track them better.
