Default Split Mirrors

Anybody have an image they could post of the split mirrors? Do they effectively eliminate the blind spot? Also any experience with Kohmo tires? Any Denver tt'ers interested in dinner when I get mine back from the ESP adventure?

Default I installed my split mirrors last week...

The driver's side mirror is a godsend. The right 2/3rds of the mirror is just like a regular mirror but when you get to a line 1/3rd of the way from the left, the view expands to cover the entire blind area.

The passenger side is a little more difficult though. It's generally not quite as easy to visually focus on the view. I'm not quite sure how to determine where a car to the passenger side behind me is located. Maybe this is why the euro cars only come with the driver's side.

Anyone with the mirrors have comments?

Default Thanks to Pete from Japan

I also installed mine lastweek and the passenger side mirror is working great especially TTR with top. You could feel much more what's going on in the next lane.
The installation of the new mirror was easy, but be careful for removing old ones. Need a patience.

Default On passenger side mirror I noticed right off that I could see a car to the right...

of me up to the point that his nose shows up in my passenger window. That is what I was looking for in a mirror! Drivers side is great too, but I'm used to looking over my shoulder before I change lanes and I can do that on the driver's side, but there is such a wicked blind spot on the passenger side that only a mirror like this can help with. Thanks everyone for the positive reviews.

BTW, I struggled for 1/2 hour trying to get the OEM mirrors out (followed the instructions on Stratmosphere's website), but finally had to take it to the dealer who did it in 10 minutes (after waiting for an hour). Guess that's why I'm not a mechanic.

Default Mine look great -- I just wish I had a car to put them on

Mine came last week, along with my car cover and some other goodies. The only problem is that my car still hasn't made it from the port to the dealer. Maybe this coming week. Sigh.
