Strut problem

Strut problem
Can someone help me diagnose this? I have a 2001 TT quattro with 9200 miles. About 3 weeks ago I started hearing a clunking noise coming from the right side front tire. It only does it when I go over a bump on the road. (if I go over a speed bump, I hear it when the car goes down in the front area, but not all the time) In general it does it over road irregularities, like when you are going 40 or 50 mph, and you drive over a road surface that is not leveled Any ideas? sounds like a strut or springmaybe? Has anyone had any go bad with so few miles? Closest dealer is about 240 iles away, so I am trying to diagnose. thanx

Just walk like one nut is bigger then the other. You will strut just fine.

Your shock is probably blown. They are crap. Youm probably won't like this answer but replace them yourself with an aftermarket one, the car will handle amazing!!!!

Could be the swaybar bracket.....>>>
These have a history of breaking especially on the right side. Someone reported this here just last week. Crank the wheel and look in there (follow the bar to the bracket). You can see it easily. Bars have also broken. Warranty issue.
