Surfboard in TT Roadster
I am thinking about buying a '01 TT convertable. The only problem is fitting my surfboard in the car. I am wondering how it will fit in the passenger seat with the top down, or if it will fit at all. I have searched for any TT drivers who surf, but have only found those who own the hardtop. If anyone who owns the convertable and surfs, your input would be appreciated.

Why not a coupe with a rack? They do make roadster racks . . .
that mount on the rear for luggage, skis, etc. It could probably be adapted. I don't think I would want to stick a surfboard into a nice TT interior.

I'd be concerned with lift as the surfboard would stick up
higher over the roof line and have a larger surface area than a snowboard or 2. Don't know how firmly it attaches to the rear trunk lid so at speed I'd fear it'd take off on it's own.... I'm seeing a Lethal Weapon-esque on road experience.
