Temp problem
The temp gauge (until now) has always sat dead center. Lately it has been bouncing between center and 1 line left of center. I say bouncing, because in the space of a minute it will move between the two. It tends to stay on the cooler side most of the time now. I took it in for service and they replaced the temp sending unit. Problem still exists. I connected up Ross tech VAG/SCOPE to see the temp in the different positions. When it is one line left of center, it is reading about 75deg C when it is center it is reading about 82 deg C. I havent noticed a pattern to the shifts in the needle, on a long drive back from LA with the cruise on it continues to move with no detectable pattern. Cluster seems fine. I was thinking maybe the thermostat, has anyone pulled any data on this before or experienced this? Thanks

If you replace the thermostat, make sure you get and OEM part from the dealer. Aftermarket thermostats (i.e. Wahler) do not operate to OEM specs.
