Default Is there really going to be an APR Stage 3 for 225's?

225's have now been out in the US around 3 years, twice I have called APR and both times they told me a 225 Stage 3 kit was "under development." I have patiently waited, hoping they would come up with a quality product for much less than the alternatives that are currently available. Lately I have see some snide remarks whenever the subject comes up suggesting that there never has been and never will be a kit and that APR just keeps stringing us along. Sorry if this is old news, but would someone who knows, especially an employee from APR, please tell us the truth. If there is such a product there should be at least some time estimate, if it is not a priority please tell us. Personally this affects my future ownership plans, what I buy next depends on this. Please?

Default Talking to the guys at APR you'll realize that they're perfectionists...

if you've ever purchased something from apr it's always top notch...do you ever hear anyone on the forum complaining about the poor quality of APR products? NO!!! Do they take forever to bring new products out? Yes!!! I guess when you're the best you can do whatever you want.

Default Much easier to push the stage III for 180hp owners...

since there are so many more of them (ie. Jetta/GTI/Golf/TT) We just don't seem to be priority for them.

Default Well the truth of the matter is that they are a business and one that has

grown rapidly in the past few years. You could count the number of TT225 kits that they'd sell on both hands and maybe one foot. Everyone talks like they'd drop the cash for one - regardless of cost - but the reality of the situation is - if you wanted more HP - you can buy OCT, MTM or other kits costing $10k. The VW market is making them ALOT of money and why not make money while you can. Again - who else is even developing a TT 225 kit other than the ones we all know about?

Default I spent the day @ Hartmann in February and...

They said the kit was developed and they could probably get me one early if I was a serious buyer. That didn't happen. They did mention that some of the parts are individually casted from molds that were very expensive. They said APR are perfectionists and they are finding a way to mass produce the STGIII kit at a more affordable cost without loss of quality.
