Default they do not come apart easily. The lens is sonically welded to the back, at least the OEMs'

they would have to be cut off with a Dremel tool, I know, I did it.
I have no idea regarding the 'Altezza' type, but I'll bet they work the same way, for a water barrier for example

Default Because there is more *inside* the head lights than the tails.

the alignment motor, 3 bulb holders, reflectors, all need to be installed from the front. you could not open the back, do all that stuff, keep it sealed like the tails.
look at the cover for the access point to the xenon. Big, oval, seal around it. they'd have to make that cover way too big to give access to all the stuff from behind, then the structural integrity of the housing would be compromised.
It's a tough piece of molded plastic. needs to be to keep everything from vibrating.

There is just one plastic bulb carrier i n the tails that removes the 5 bulbs.
All those bulbs are the same physical size.
Easily done.

Default I know they aren't popular with most around here but...

I think if they were paint matched they would look 10x better than the big red blobs we have.
