Default Time to get Lifted

I've been kicking this one around for a while and can't come to a decent decision. I'm about to flip a coin although I'm sure I'll regret whichever one I choose to go with.

Choice #1 ) Scissor Lift ala the ModShack.
Pros: Cheaper, More Portable/manuverable, no posts in the way, easy removal of all four tires, good for normal maintenance, did I mention Cheaper?
Cons: Doesn't increase my garage capacity, doesn't go to full height, lift is centered under the car and may get in the way

<img src="http://i16.ebayimg.com/04/i/06/de/ag/71_1.JPG">

Choice #2) 4 Post Lift
Pros: Turns my car into a 3 car garage, lifts to full height, can do pretty much everything the scissor lift can, did I mention it turns my 2 car garage into a 3 car?
Cons: More expensive, bigger, less movable but a caster kit is available, depending on my garage door it may need to be pushed fairly close to the front wall which may make maintenance a bit more difficult(could be solved by backing onto the lift), did I mention it's about $1000 more expensive?
<img src="http://i23.ebayimg.com/05/i/06/e3/6c/c5_1.JPG">

I have a fairly large project comimg up that can help me justify the purchase by doing it myself instead of taking the car in to be done. Now neither lift is required and I could do the job without either one but what fun is that. I really want the 3rd car ability and am leaning that way, $1000 is cheap to essentially add another stall. But movablitity and the whole garage door issue has me concerned but there are workarounds. The other concern is the add ons, the caster kit required as well as the cross beams with bottle jacks so you can use the 4 post to get the wheels off and their costs. The $1000 extra will probably increase to +$1500 or more by the time I'm done. I guess I can get by with the scissor lift but the lure of the 3rd stall is hard to resist.

Decisions decisions

Did I mention I'd be parking my BMW under the 4 post? ;-)

Default you have the ceiling height to do a 4-post lift? in that case get a REAL lift>>

<img src="http://www.toolsplus1.com/images/mx10acx.bmp">

No, it's not moveable, but a million times more practical.<ul><li><a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Bend-Pak-MX10ACX-Automotive-Two-Post-Lift-NEW-Car-lift_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ63700QQitemZ463393 4638QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW">eBay linky</a></li></ul>

Are you sure you have enough ceiling height for two cars stacked?

Default They would have to be slightly staggered.

Garage is 24 feet deep I believe it was. The 4 post would have to go pretty close to the front wall in order to clear when the car was lifted and the garage door is open. I think that would give me enough lift to be able to pull the BMW under up to the windshield which gives me enough to close the door.
