Tracking Issue
Question about my son's TT. 2003 manual 225 coupe with 140K miles. He asked me about what I call a tracking issue, i.e. he says the car makes some slight movements without steering input. I know on the A4, it usually means your control arm bushings are going. Assume the TT has a similar setup, but not sure since it is the transverse engine setup. Comments?

There are many possibilities. You need to be verse at suspensions to inspect & troubleshoot. Or, take the car in for an alignment. Anything that is loose or worn will be noted for replacement before an alignment can be completed.
To name a few possibilities:
Tie Rod Ends,
Ball Joints
Strut bearings/bushings,
Control Arm Bushings,
Subframe bushings,
Bent suspension components...
