Default Trunk question>

4 rims/tires

Fit? Yes?

Going to pick up a set of rims/tires this weekend from a forum member...

They're 18" RS4 reps (which I obviously don't need the rims)

I just need the rubber! :-P

If they won't fit, I'll rent a car for the weekend

Default Coupe or roadster?

They'll fit in a coupe, no problem. Just have to put one of the wheels in the front seat. I'm not sure on a roadster though....

There is a pic floating around of a guy in the UK with all 4 in the back of a coupe. I'm trying to dig it up.

Default Yes, several of us have done it. I drove all the way to Daytona and back that way.

Here is a link to Uneeks pic of 4 tires in coupe. Be careful closing the hatch over that one standing behind the driver.

https://forums.audiworld.com/tt/msgs/1592858.phtml</a

As long as the total diameter is nothing outrageous I think you should have no issues (other than visibility).

Ha, I'm in almost the same boat. Have a set of RS reps sitting in my garage and I've been looking for rubber 235 or 225/40/18.

Looks like you beat me to a set

have a safe drive!

Default Thanks! Found the right post/right location at the right time!>

the rims are pretty beat, this may give me a good time to 'practice' wheel repair (since i have a few light scuffs on my own rims I want to clean up)

Default Nope. Not in a Roadster. I've tried.

It could be done, but you'd have to put the wheels/tires in some rather unconventional (and likely unsafe and spooky) places. ;-)
