TT Alignment Problems? Understeer?
I'm in the process of purchasing a new 01 225 coupe. During the test drive it felt like the car wanted to pull to the right on straight-aways. It is very noticeable. I've failed to replicate the same drift towards the left although the dealership assures me that they experience drift in both directions. Either way I'm not able to drive straight without constant correction.
Is this common? I haven't read of any problems except maybe issues with understeer.
I'm very reluctant to continue with the transaction.

Hasn't popped up in discussion - mine goes to right slightly after 7k. Alignment covered u/ wty.
I am having dealer center the wheel and align. Dont' anticipate future problems until big potholes are hit again.
Reminds me of what dealer told me in my first RX-7 when new car pulled significantly to right - I was a wee 24 year old (1980) and dealer told me car was built that way . . .

Unless you were on a severely crowned road, something is wrong. Take it for another...
...drive, this time driving in the center of the road's crown in a safe location and momentarily let go of the steering wheel. If it still pulls to the right, something is wrong. It could be as simple as tire pressures, but you should make them fix it before you take delivery.....

The tire pressure seemed ok. The left was about 1 PSI higher than the right. Michelin tires.
Both were within spec. I also thought it was because of uneven roads but it did it on several different freeways. I'll test it out on another road.
During the test drive the salesman agreed it pulled right and continuosly tried to demonstrate the same thing towards the left. I never witnessed it. Besides, i would think you'd try to demonstrate a straight line before anything else.
I guess i can insist on an alignment before i take delivery. Or maybe new tires.
