Default TT risers

Facing first NH winter with my 05'TT. Got some Blizzaks but am worried about the clearance underneath. Should i consider a skidplate? coilovers? What kind of damage will happen if the ice scrapes the undercarriage? other suggestions? Thanks.

Just watch out for big chunks of ice. The main danger is basically a cracked oil pan. Not too bad or expensive to replace, but if you don't notice it, the oil may all run out and then you are buying a new motor.

I've been rocking my TT for a few Minnesota winters now with no problems.

Phew!. Thanks for the mental relief. I was sure i was going to rip out something vital and or not get to drive all winter - which is the plan. "Roger, Tranquility, we copy you on the ground; you got a bunch of guys about to turn blue, we're breathing again. Thanks a lot!"
