TT will no longer be available for sale in these States for the 2006 model year:
April 21, 2005
To All U.S. Audi Dealer Principals, General Managers, and Sales Managers
Restricted Sale of Model Year 2006 TT Models
Model year 2006 Audi TT models are certified as Federal-only concepts. Because Federal-only concepts do not meet California emission standards, these vehicles cannot be sold in California or in states that have adopted California emission standards: New York, Massachusetts, Vermont, and Maine ( eAdopting Statesâ€). Further, under no circumstances should dealers engage in dealer trades of new model year 2006 Audi TT models with intent of sale in California or the Adopting States. Any sale of these vehicles in California or an Adopting State will result in severe penalties and fines against Audi of America and the participating dealers. In addition, these states may have safeguards in place that may prevent a customer from registering these federal-only vehicles.
We want to assure you that the next generation TT (available Spring 2007) will be available for sale in all states. We sincerely thank you for your cooperation and support in adhering to these important guidelines.

1 225 Coupe
1 250 Coupe
1 180 Roadster
0 225 Roadster
1 250 Roadster.
No more coming in for 2005.
Conspiracy points to trying to unnaturally inflate demand in anticipation for the new model style. (Audi, not you)

Bringing Audi to Life for Audi Fans
Oldschool may be right.
The TT is selling still very strongly in England, but slowed down here. That is also the reason why the TT has seen its production for the U.S cut in almost half!!
