Default Turbo Boost Controller and Performance

Has anyone installed a boost controller in their vehicles...and what perfomance gains did you encounter (1/4mile or Hp)...or problems? With a 1.8L engine, I would think that the motor's pretty close to maxing out, unless the TT's equiped with extremely resilient internals.

Default 1.8T is about as resilient a motor as one could hope for

motor is nowhere near maxing out. dahlback has a 600hp 1.8T (not sure if on stock internals), but some guys over on vwvortex have 500+hp 1.8Ts on stock internals withOUT nitrous. and they've been tracking that car for six months.

anywya, a boost controller isnt the right solution for an ECU controlled car. no matter how much more boost you manage to achieve, it dun't mean jack unless you get the necessary fuel. given our ECUs can adapt +/- 20% (hearsay), you can easily up the boost (chip the ECU, ECS N75, larger DP, free-flow exhaust, etc) such that the fuel is the limiting factor, not the boost.

in fact, with the k03, for example, with just a 2.5" downpipe, exhaust, and chip, it _already_ spools too fast.

When you mentioned fuel, do you mean injector wise or grade wise?
