Default Unitronic performance software.........283HP!!??

http://www.unitronic.ca/index.php?id=products_chip_standard

The stats are 208KW / 283hp and 342 Nm / 252ft-lbs .. Which seem pretty impressive, when compared to APR/GIAC/REVO etc..

Has anyone got this in their TT??

Ref here for dyno results -> http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=2401314

Default I see 292 hp and 269 ft lbs for my car unless I'm reading their site wrong....

that's about 30 horses more than a GIAC or APR chip states from their websites. Don't know the Dahlback #s off hand. the torque seems right in line with the others though, give or take a few foot lbs....

Default One can only hope...

that they write software better than they write paragraphs.

"About us: Unitronic was started a couple years back as a car electronic company, helping garages and dealers with electronic troubleshooting and resolution. With this much experience and gained knowledge in the automotive electronic, in 2003 we have decided to divert most of our time into chip tuning research and development. Aware of the existing issues and problems in the industry, we have dedicated ourselves to create software's that will not only solve the current problems and issues but exceed everyone's expectations. Since, we have not stopped investigating new technologies which will allow us to remain the leader in the industry.

The art of Tuning is to be very meticulous and precisely calculated. You need the proper ingredients to make a perfect file. Knowledge is one of them, gained trough trial and error, is probably the one that gives us the edge of being on top of things. Research and development, not to forget got us where we are. Many years of investigating into mechanical and software solutions has allowed us to perfectly balance all interrelated component to create the most enjoyable driving experience."<ul><li><a href="http://www.unitronic.ca/index.php?id=about">Unitronic Chipped: About Us</a></li></ul>

Default there are lots of unknowns

it may have been 25 degrees where they were testing...they are in canada and we all know how much stronger our cars are in the cold. it may have been on a two wheel dyno...which we all know will have less loss...and why are the numbers different for the 225 coupe and 225 roadster. we all know they have the same engines...i would love to think he has some break through! but i just need more info.

also everyone talks about how "safe" he is. when writing a program for my buddy with a GT28 on his A4. he completely left the N75 out of the loop. the guy can't even plug it in or bizzaro things will happen. that scares me a little. why is it there then.
