Default VTDA...

Just picked a brushed stainless used one up from a guy on the Vortex and...

WOW! It's awesome! Extremely nice build quality and the sound it puts out is great! Nice low growl when you give it gas and hearing the diverter valve psssshhhh is pretty cool. Power seems overall smoother and maybe a little quicker to come on? Hard to tell, only took it for a short test drive on some back roads.

Even though I didn't order this directly from the Shack, thanks Steve!

Default Yup, BTW.....

Is it real stainless? Would it hold up if I bead blasted it to match my charge pipe? Then I could spray it like I did my charge pipe and makes it easier to clean. I'd have to try the bottom first to make sure I like the look. Actually love it now.

Default MAF housing size...

On my way to work this morning, I was listening to the intake and it didn't seem as "loud" as it had when I first installed it. I figure I had just gotten used to it and that was that. When I got home tonight, I figured I'd take a look under the hood...

The VTDA had come disconnected from the MAF housing and my car had been sucking in unfiltered air all day...

I tightened down the clamp as far as it would go but it still seems rather loose.

My question - do the 180s have a smaller MAF housing? The housing in the image blackfnTTruck posted looks larger and if so, should the VTDA should stay connected to the MAF housing properly without any sort of adaptors? I've got the clamp tightened down as far as it'll go now so hopefully it's holds better now...
