WAP from hell?

WAP from hell?
I've got the Linksys WAP and the laptop NIC, but they won't talk. Same channel, essid, etc., the ACT light on the WAP is blinking as well as the TX/RX light on the NIC. The link light is red.
Where could I be wrong?

On the Linksys you should get a red./amber light
for connectivity and then a green intermittent light for activity. I am looking at the one in the laptop on my client's desk and that is what I am seeing.
I had some trouble setting it up... there are setting for that card not only in the software they provide but also in the properties of the card in the device manager. Check both places to make sure it is setup correctly.
