Default Washer Fluid Leak

While the animated fountain icon is certainly lovely, I got really sick of looking at it. Plus, I want to see the aliens!

So time to fix the darn washer fluid leak. I knew it was leaking inside the wheel well, and after reading up I suspected a cracked pump housing or bad o-ring like others have experienced. So I pulled the wheel and liner out, and did indeed notice a crack in the bottom pump. BUT...that's not where the leak was coming from. It would only leak while the bottom nut was bolted inside the fender, and I finally figured out there's a hairline crack where the plastic mounting tab attaches to the reservoir that only leaks when under stress (ie, bolted to the inner fender). I just smeared it (and ther cracked pump) with some windshield silicone, so we'll see how she flies!

I had not read of this particular leak before, so I just thought I'd put it here in case it might help someone else out in the future.
