window problem
I had to order a new passenger window motor that was installed last week. It moves up and down but does not drop by the 1/4 inch on opening and close when the door shuts. They are ordering another motor. Is this the answer to the problem?

If the window motor works when you use the control, I would suspect you have an unrelated electrical
gremlin, unless there are two window motors (one for the window up/down control and one for the automatic 1/4" door-open trick).

Same thing happened to me--the replacement motor failed to drop and raise the window by 1/4 inch when opening and closing the door, and also the auto-up, auto-down feature did not work properly; at first, service techs thought they had failed to program these functions; however, the cure was a second replacement window motor.

If you have the Comfort Pkg, check to see if the door ajar sensors work...
This is just a hunch, but one thing that could cause it is if the computer isn't realizing when the doors are closed. Another way to test this would be with the dome light, if you don't have it set to the middle position. Hope this helps.

My TT did this when i first got it . Do your windows go up on ONE TOUCH?,if not then try this . First put your drivers window all the way down ,then put it all the way up then let go of the switch then hold it up for 2-4 seconds this resets the windows after the battery has been disconnected . My dealer didn't even know this ,i read it in the handbook
