window wont roll up but clunks as if trying
this is my first post so hello everyone!
I have a 2001 tt Coupe 1.8t
couple days ago i went to roll the driver side window down and as it continued to roll down i heard plastic bits breaking inside the door.
I got home pulled the door card off and noticed that white plastic clips that hold the window to the rails that it slides on were all cracked.
So to roll the window up i had to push from the bottom of the window while flicking the switch up and down, qtr inch at a time.
i have heard that it is the regulator but i just thought i would check online before throwing money i dont have at it.
any info would help! thanks alot!

also i should add, that when it first broke and before i made it go all the way up it would roll up about 2 inches and stop then i would roll it down . you could do it over and over and it wouldnt go any higher.

VW/ Audi has been making these crap components for ever.
Just the plastic have broken, you can try E-bay.For a while there was a vendor for replacement plastic pieces.
Otherwise the regulators are not that expensive, about 2 hours work. You need to drill out the rivets and re-rivet the new regulator.
